Client: Kurt Coleman
Playing it Forward became a three-part web series that takes Kurt from Philadelphia back to his hometown in Ohio to reconnect with family and old friends, while rediscovering the five elements of his life that made him the man he is today—Faith, Family, Friends, Education and Football. Take the journey, walk the path – this is what he calls Playing It Forward.
Following the success of our docu-series with Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finely, Finley Untamed, we had the opportunity to travel with former Eagles safety Kurt Coleman to create his own series: Playing it Forward. Since JTWO was originally founded in Philadelphia, we were happy to have the opportunity to travel with Coleman from our hometown in The City of Brotherly Love to his hometown in Dayton, Ohio. Once we started filming and spending time with Kurt, we quickly realized that he is not only a talented football player on the field, but he is also an all-around great guy off the field as well. In fact, there is much more to Coleman than his career in the NFL; so much so that he considers professional football one of the least defining elements of his life. We had the opportunity to hear him talk about some of his convictions and values and how they helped shape him into the man that he is today. Watch as we explore how his faith, family, friends, and education helped define his character both on and off the field. Featuring voiceover work by CBS/Showtime’s James Brown, Kurt Coleman: Playing it Forward was an incredible joy to create.
