We were lucky enough to partner with The YMCA of the USA & The The Wal-Mart Foundation to develop an online video series called “Feeding Children Together.”
YMCA of the USA (Y-USA) is the national resource office for the Y, one of the nation’s leading nonprofits strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
The Wal-Mart Foundation’s mission is to create opportunities so people can live better. They consider it their responsibility to make a positive impact in the communities they serve.
The Project
The goal of each episode of the “Feeding Children Together” video series is to take viewers to a neighborhood YMCA location and follow a food program employee or volunteer through the process of getting ready for the day or week’s food program. We had the opportunity to get a behind the scenes look at how YMCA’s in Rochester, Detroit, Asheville and Oklahoma City help provide local children with nutritious meals and snacks.
The Result
We produced four web spots that showcase the Y-USA’s and The Walmart Foundation’s impact on the healthy eating habits of local children. These videos will ultimately be used to raise the national visibility of the two organizations and reach more children and caregivers in need in order to help program participation and generate local visibility.
This project was made possible through our Projects That Matter Initiative.
